Jomsborg FDF-camp

Surrounded by approximately 7 acres of land, an authentic passage grave and an impressive view overlooking the Isefjord, the country retreat Jomsborg deserved something equally exceptional.

Nearing its 120th year of existence the area has since been home to FDF Frederiksberg, with purpose of a retreat for the scouts with both plenty of nature and room to playful activites and friendship.

And when you are dealing with scouts, it is necessary to have a connection between the cozy and warm inside, and the nature and life outside. Because the outside plays a major role in a life of a scout, and even when you’re inside one should still feel that the nature is close at hand.

That’s why it seemed like the obvious choice to make the huge window sections in the new main building. Now it’s possible to truely absorb the entirety of the nature, even though you’re sitting inside.

For this exciting project we’ve primarily supplied elements in wood/aluminium.

The project was designed by Cubo Design Studio.
